Getting Potty Trained - Why We Need Electric Cars (Part 1)

May 05 | 09by:Danielle McCormick

Danielle McCormick with an electric car Now Mr Brewer,

Did you honestly expect to poo poo electric cars and not expect a fight?

Yes, the G-Wizz isnt the prettiest of cars. Yes they still have to get their enegry from power plants which are more than likely to get their energy from fossil fuels. But we all have a responsibility to encourage new technologies that help reduce our dependence on oil.

Despite what anyone says about arguing over whether or not global warming is happening, one thing that is definitely happening is we are running out of oil. Some people say it is as little as ten years away, some fifty. But either way, IT IS RUNNING OUT. Our very short-sighted current civilisation who only seem to care about their own needs says "Fifty years is loads of time"

But can you imagine in history classes of the future, in the same way that we studied the Greeks and the Romans, where they would look at the Consumerist Generation that lived from 1945-2020 and consumed 80% of all the natural resources the world had spend 4.5 BILLION years making. Oil is the lifeblood of our current society and what the hell happens when it runs out?
