Buying Used Cars to Sell
April 01 | 09by:Julian Gudgeon
As well as working in the garage, I have
been buying and selling cars. At the moment we have about 6 cars, and they all
need work doing on them.
One of the cars we had was a BMW 318, an M3 look-a-like, which was in a right state when we bought it! By the time we had finished with it, it was a really nice car, ready to re-sell.
As we do MOTs, paintwork and panel-work etc., it makes it easier to complete a job and less costly on us. Also, a lot of my pals are car dealers which makes it easier to find deals on buying cheap cars to modify.
This car was quite easy to sell as it only has a 1.8 engine and looks just like an M3, with the front and rear bumpers, side-skirts, privacy glass, AND it is lowered with sports wheels and exhaust.
This is an ideal car for someone who cannot afford the insurance on a genuine M3. I won’t say what I bought the car for but I sold it for £1400, serviced, MOTed, taxed and well worth the money.
I find now that a lot of people are downgrading their cars as money is really tight at the moment. For instance, cars with bigger engines such as an X5 or powerful Jeeps are a lot harder to sell now and way too expensive to run.

Great! Good one, I just wonder if you can recommend any good blogs or forums about windshield repair.
