Trapped

Like the rest of the country I was severely affected by the snow conditions over the last couple of weeks. The Wheeler Dealer schedule went almost out of the window as both me, cameramen and directors were left stranded.
However I spotted one car on an internet auction site that got me so fired up that I dug my way out of my driveway!
I was the last and successful bidder on an almost mint '87 Porsche 944 Turbo. The car was for nothing - £2800 for a motor of this calibre is stunning. And judging by its description it would make a perfect car for me and Edd to restore.
I spent a cold morning in Oxford on the shovel and salt and finally got on the road to London. Once there it was worth it: the car's a peach, finished in metallic grey with brown leather. Edd will be delighted. Just a few jobs to do on the Porky before she’s ready for sale. Thing is, being rear wheel drive and the roads being sheet ice, I had the most entertaining test drive ever, more like a ten minute car crash! All part of the fun.
But I couldn’t fault the car, in fact it was better than described and a testament to the previous owner. The new one will love it too! Perfect!
Hopefully now the snow's gone we can get on with business at the workshop. We're a little behind with the restorations for this series and I still haven’t bought half the cars yet! Wish me luck…
