Fitting Lamborghini Doors

February 03 | 09by:Julian Gudgeon

P1010445 This is a job I did a little while ago for one of my customers for my new business, ‘All Star Car Customs’. I opened this business with my partner Imy who is a mechanic.

I bought these lambo door hinges from a specialist  company that I have been using.

They are the bolt-on kind which is the best to use as they don’t involve welding or cutting. This makes a much better job finish. The kit I ordered was made especially for the car.

The first step I took was to strip down the whole front end of the car, including front wings, front bumper and wheel arch covers.

There is a lot of adjusting to be done when fitting lambo doors so it makes it easier to have all parts out of the way. It also makes it easier to get to everything without damage.

I had to cut the inside of the front wings so that when the doors open, they wouldn’t rub or hit. I put the car back together and after all of my adjusting and getting the gaps right, the job was done.

My customer could not stop smiling when he saw his car! (he was very pleased!). I got to say, I was too. It looks cracking. I'll do yours if you like!
